I am once again finding new products for Jeanne’s Bags and More. Since I live a mile from Lake Michigan beaches, all summer long the beaches have thousands of  people tanning, swimming, and playing beach volleyball.  Swimwear and accessories for  the beach are very popular around here and what would be a new fashion statement for those who go to the beach…barefoot sandals. I came up with 2 patterns. I also found many of sandals made of  beads, but haven’t made any yet.  I will post a picture when I make some.

Hello to all,
I have a new item for my craft shows. This one is for mason jars. Mason jars are not just for canning anymore, they are very popular in many restaurants used as drinking glasses. These glasses can be used for steamy coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot cider, and can be for the icy cold drinks for the summer. Thanks to two very special people in my life gave me this idea and I came up with these.

I used medium weight 4 ply, Vanna’s Choice
Hook H
Magic circle make 12 hdc
Row 2. ch 1, 2 hdc I each hdc, ss to join around (24)
Row 3. ch 1,1 hdc in hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, repeat around ss to join (36)

Change to G hook

Ch 1, 2 hdc in next hdc, skip 1 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, skip next hdc. Repeat around ss to join

Repeat this until desired height. I have 10 rows.

Finish

This stitch will be going in reverse (do not turn your work) going left instead of right. This stitch has a very nice finish on top, looks twisty.

Ch 1, sc in last stitch from prev row, repeat around join with ss to close off. Cut off and weave in tail back of top row.

There is a video at this site. Shows both left and right handed technique.

I have several crocheting ideas that could use a touch of the Hello Kitty theme. How about my latest project that was just completed this afternoon. This holder is for the cell phone.  I added a clasp so it could be attached to a belt, purse, backpack, or just about anything that you carry.

Good Morning to you

This is a beautiful day today and now is the time to think SPRING!!! Do you believe it is less than a month away. When I think of spring, I imagine of being outdoors, listening to the birds sing, enjoying the beautiful spring flowers that are blooming, and taking long walks along Lake Michigan beaches and parks. When taking those long walks, remember to take water with you. I created this beautiful crocheted pattern of a holder to carry your water bottle in and if you like a little flavoring, I made a holder for that too. The holder can also be used to carry your keys, phone, a little cash,or whatever you need to keep with you. I have just published the pattern in Ravelry. It is easy to make and takes a couple of hours to complete.

Last year I made a lot of water bottle holders using a different pattern and customers really liked them, in fact I sold a lot of them. They liked the variegated colors the best. I got last years’ pattern from Ravelry also. I love the flower in this pattern and I use it for making all my flowers which belongs to: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/diamond-mesh-water-bottle-holder/

I hope you enjoy my pattern, it is free to you and can sell what you make from it, but please do not sell the pattern. It is my gift to you. If you need any help with the pattern, please let me know. Have a Blessed Day!
